The UW Medicine Destination: One (D1) initiative launched the new single electronic healthcare record system Epic. All students are registered for the Epic Orders IP/OP Medical Student (Links to an external site.) training that grants them access to Epic at the following facilities:

UW Medical Center—Montlake

UW Medical Center—Northwest

Harborview Medical Center

UW Neighborhood Clinics

UW Specialty Clinics

Seattle Cancer Care Alliance

 

Students can login to the UW Medicine Learning Hub (Links to an external site.) to check their learner dashboard for this training.

Students can search for and re-take any of the training bundles or individual modules anytime. They only need to complete the required Epic Orders IP/OP Medical Student training once in order to get their basic level of access.

Epic Access

Students will use their UW Medicine account to access Epic. They can maintain account credentials at MyUW (Links to an external site.).

Students can access links to UW Medicine clinical systems on the UW Medicine Clinical Toolkit (Links to an external site.) page.

Epic Super Users are onsite to help with the first line of support. If a Super User is not available or unable to assist, students are instructed to contact the UW Medicine Help Desk at 206-543-7012 or the Epic Hotline directly at 206-520-2255.
