      There are a few avenues we are pursuing. With this dataset, we have some more modeling to do to further drill down exactly which exposures and which combination of exposures are associated with the highest risk. This information can both further inform future studies and give some insight into a possible underlying mechanism.

      We are also looking at other data sources with which we would try to replicate and validate these results.

      On a translational level, there is a new oral cavity microbiome project at the UW getting started which hopes to attack this question from another angle.
