About
Welcome to Project Better!
Project Better uses text (SMS) messages to provide support and promote healthy coping following exposure to traumatic or stressful events. We hope to learn whether simple text messages can help change people’s drinking and distress – we are passionate about understanding reactions to stressors and providing support to as many people affected by stressors as possible!
If you think you could benefit from our support, we hope you will consider participating. We invite you to share our information with someone you think we can help.
If you’d like information about eligibility or FAQs, please head over to those pages of our website for more information.
If you’d like to get started, you can click ‘Start Screener’ below or on any page of our site. Please note that our research staff will review your screening responses, provided contact information, and other indicators to ensure the validity of your answers and your eligibility status. If we think you might not be following the study rules, we will send you an email letting you know that we cannot proceed with your enrollment.
Our information statement can be found here.
