About the Study

If you participated in the Project Reflect research study at the University of Washington, you may be eligible to participate in Project MAC, a confidential follow-up research study to get your thoughts, experiences, opinions on how researchers measure mood and cannabis use.

The purpose of this study is to get a better understanding of how young adults think about their mood in relation to their cannabis use, and to use this information to develop a new measure of mood for use in cannabis-related research.

Participation in this study will involve:

  1. If you are interested in the study, a member of our team will call you and review informed consent over the phone
  2. If you decide to participate in the study, you will be scheduled to complete an online, individual interview
  3. The individual interview will take about 60 minutes and will be over Zoom.
    • We will ask you questions about:
      • Your thoughts, experiences, and opinions about your participation in Project Reflect, specifically, how mood was measured
      • Suggestions about how researchers can improve the way that we measure mood in-the-moment
      • Insight into your understanding of the relationship between your mood and substance use
  4. You will receive a $30 Amazon gift card for your participation in the study
