If you have received both of your welcome letters, congratulations! You found us.
The schedule at orientation is fairly tight, and, unfortunately, does not not allow adequate time for all these tasks so anything you can complete before Orientation the better. We appreciate your help with this! Since your start date is July 1st some of these items can’t happen until July 1st or later. It’s a bit of a time squeeze but we always make it!
To Do List Prior to or During Orientation
-
Husky ID card includes your UPASS bus pass. Your UPASS won’t be effective until after Orientation because it’s tied to your work/pay schedule, be prepared to pay cash for public transportation until your UPASS is activated, up to 2 weeks.
-
Badge(s) from UWMC, HMC, &/or SCH Our different clinical sites have different processes. You will all need UWMC badges. You will need your UWNetID. For those of you with rotations at Seattle Children’s Hospital or Harborview Medical Center, you will be working with your track coordinator’s staff to get additional badges for those locations after orientation. More information on badges will be available closer to July.
-
Online trainings such as HIPAA, Asbestos Awareness, Husky Prevention & Response (Title IX), and Violence Prevention.
-
Surveys
-
One UW – a handy online checklist with links and more to manage your UW onboarding activities. This is in addition to the Intership program’s onboarding tasks. This will be available on July 1st as that is the official day you start.
Thank you!
