AP/CP Year Schedule Examples
Depicted below are generic versions of our AP/CP resident schedules. AP1 and CP1 year schedules are structured years to ensure every resident builds up their foundational knowledge. In their AP2 year, residents have a month of elective time typically used to explore potential fellowship interests. Their CP2 year has 1-2 months of structured rotations, but the remainder of the year is tailored to the residents’ interests. CP2 residents can take up to 6 months of clinical research and typically divide the rest of the year between elective rotations in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology, and Acting Directorship (AD) rotations. Popular ADs include: NGS Cancer Diagnostics, Molecular Microbiology, Informatics, Laboratory Management & others based on interest.
