Zou Yufei – Post Doc

I am a postdoctoral research associate working jointly at the University of Washington and the USFS Pacific Wildland Fire Sciences Lab (PWFSL). My research focuses on fire modeling at regional to global scales using chemical transport models and earth system models.

My current research projects include fire smoke simulation and modeling evaluation based on ground monitoring data and satellite observations. I am also working collaboratively with other groups in the NASA Health and Air Quality Applied Sciences Team (HAQAST) to improve fire smoke modeling performance and conduct health impact assessment. Before joining the PWFSL.

I received my Ph.D. degree at Georgia Institute of Technology and my master degree at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics in the Chinese Academy of Sciences. During my leisure time, I like hiking, biking, and doing photography.
