About me:
I am originally from Italy, and I studied at the University of Naples, where I did both my master and my PhD studies, concluded in 2022. I am currently a postdoc researcher working in Copenhagen at the Niels Bohr Institute.
I work theoretically at the intersection between particle physics and astrophysics. The main focus of my research activity is to gain information on open problems of the Standard Model through astrophysical observations. I have focused on extreme astrophysical sources, such as the cosmic accelerators of ultra-high-energy cosmic rays, or the dense cores of supernovae and neutron star mergers, as seen through various messengers, including neutrinos and gamma-rays.
Understanding the impact of beyond the Standard Model physics on these sources is an exciting and challenging question, because they are often not perfectly understood. Therefore, I have worked also on the parallel question of inferring the inner behavior of astrophysical sources from the observations that we have available.
