About me:
I am Bigeng Wang, originally from Xi’an, China. I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Fudan University. In 2016, I joined Prof. Norman Christ’s group at Columbia University for a Ph.D. During my Ph.D., I gained expertise in lattice Quantum Chromodynamics and focused on calculating weak-decay matrix elements which are sensitive to new physics beyond the Standard Model. I completed my Ph.D. in 2021 and I have been a postdoc at University of Kentucky and working as an affiliate at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab with Prof. Keh-Fei Liu since then. My current research focuses on understanding hadron structure, specifically calculating form factors of the energy momentum tensor. I am also working on elastic and resonance structures of the nucleon from hadronic tensor in lattice QCD.
