About me:
I am a FRIB Theory Fellow, hosted by the Physics Division at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Before moving to the US, I earned my PhD at the Johannes-Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany. My research focuses on the structure and dynamics of atomic nuclei, using ab initio approaches that start from protons and neutrons as building blocks of the quantum many-body problem and their interactions. I study nuclear properties that are strongly correlated with the nuclear matter equation of state, a key ingredient for understanding the structure of neutron stars. I am also interested in time-dependent approaches to nuclear dynamical processes, such as fusion and fission, which play a crucial role in nucleosynthesis.
