Aug. 17 – PFC/RSGAL Visiting Student Presentations

Please join the PFC for 2 visiting student presentations summarizing their summer work at PFC/RSGAL:

1.       Ivan Barton has spent the summer with the PFC working on forest type detection on Sentinel-2 imagery, he is a PhD Candidate from Sapron University in Hungary.

2.       Snahal More is a MSc student at Virginia Tech, she has spent the summer with PFC working on Douglas Fir detection using deep learning.

Both will give talks on Friday, August 17th starting at 2PM (each talk will be 20 minutes with a few minutes for questions) in the PFC Lab, Bloedel 361.

Ivan and Snehal (she will still visit us quarterly for th next two years) will be leaving back to their home instructions mid-August, so this is your chance to say goodbye as well.
