Book Club (Winter quarter): DEI – Strategies for facilitating conversations on race

For the Winter quarter session of the SAFS DEI Book Club, we’ve selected the book “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Strategies for Facilitating Conversations on Race” by Caprice Hollins and Ilsa Govan. The book is a good resource on facilitating discussions centered around race, has many helpful strategies, and useful exercises (including prompts) for developing communication skills. It contains thought-provoking information on ways to respond to and interact with others in challenging situations that could arise in a group setting and in everyday conversations.
