Night Light Schematic
The circuit can be thought of in the sense of a switch/button. When the button is not pressed,(i.e. the LDR senses that it is light), the circuit is open and current does not flow through, meaning the LED will be off. However when the button is pressed,(i.e. the LDR senses that it is dark), the circuit is completed and the LED is therefore lit up. The NPN transistor is used to complete or not complete the circuit depending on the reading from the LDR. This was also my first experience with through hole soldering so some the connections were a bit sloppy, this will be improved upon in the future. Also the 4 LEDs on the upper left of the board do not have any function, they were only used to practice applying solder on.
