What We Do

Overview

We offer project-based learning on topics in aquatic and fishery sciences, free-of-charge. We attend community outreach events like Discover Science Weekend at the Seattle Aquarium and Science Nights at local schools. We teach classroom mini-lessons, explaining scientific fundamentals using local examples and examples from our own research. We host an annual Open House at the School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences. We facilitate career exploration events, offering folks interested in aquatic and fishery science an opportunity to meet local scientists, learn about their work, ask questions, and hear about their academic/career journey.
