Abstracts for the 2024 Society for Neuroscience Annual meeting will be accepted from April 23, 2024 to May 7, 2024. SfN membership is required to submit an abstract. New this year: all abstract co-authors must have a free My SfN account. The meeting will take place in Chicago, IL, from October 5-9, 2024.

SfN Trainee Professional Development Award
Undergraduate students, graduate students and postdoctoral scholars who submit abstracts to the SfN Annual Meeting can apply for Trainee Professional Development Award (TPDA) from the Society for Neuroscience. These awards recognize people who demonstrate scientific merit and excellence in research.
TPDA recipients receive:
- Travel stipend ($1,000 for trainees in the U.S., Canada, or Mexico or $2,500 for trainees based in other countries) to attend the SfN Annual Meeting.
- Complimentary SfN Annual Meeting registration.
All recipients must present their abstract during a special TPDA poster session on Saturday, October 5 and attend two professional development workshops during the meeting.

- A call for nominations for the eNeuro Editor-in-Chief is now open.
- Neuroscience 2024 abstract submission opens Tuesday, April 23, and closes Tuesday, May 7, 5 p.m. EDT. Abstract co-authors will now be required to have a free My SfN account.
Computational Approaches to Memory and Plasticity Summer School
Applications for Computational Approaches to Memory and Plasticity summer school is a two-week program that provides Ph.D. students and postdocs with training in the areas of learning, memory, and plasticity in the brain. CoNectome 2024
Registration for CoNectome 2024 (formerly NCEC) is now open! The event will be held Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14 in Zillow Commons at the University of Washington. The 2-day event will feature talks from invited speakers, local faculty, postdocs and students, as well as a poster session and ethics discussion/panel about current research in connectomics.
