About

We act as a centralized clearing house for data management, reporting, and presentation related to education administration and academic affairs at the UW School of Medicine.

This includes:

  • Data report requests
  • Accreditation review requests and materials
  • Data dashboarding and visualizations
  • Data development and standardization
  • Introduction to user tools
  • Research into software tools

All report requests are reviewed and prioritized for completion. Frequent and cyclical report request may be promoted to dashboard projects as appropriate.

We work alongside DOMIT on data development projects but are separate from the annual DOMIT project requests. If you are unsure how to route your request please contact our office.

Data access

To ensure compliance with FERPA and security of student and personally identifying data, faculty and staff data access will be limited to direct and appropriate business needs. Wherever possible individual student and faculty data will be anonymized to prevent proliferation and sharing of protected information.

Requests relating to data which is out of scope of one’s role may be presented for review to the data governance body.

Report and Data Development Requests

Submit a project request

The purpose of this form is the intake and prioritize data development projects. The definition of a project is any request that requires new reporting table, security, or data source development.

If you are unsure if your request rises to the level of a project, contact cswhite4@uw.edu for a 15-minute consultation on the project you have in mind.  Submit completed form to Data Services, aadm@uw.edu.

Submit an ad hoc report request

The purpose of an ad hoc reporting request is to provide excel reports or visualizations based on existing available AADM Reporting Data. These reports are usually created for a specific use or to answer a precise question one time or during a limited period.

Reporting request process:

  1. Identify reporting or development need
  2. Submit report and development request
  3. Our team contacts you within 3-5 business days
  4. Requests are put in the queue for development or prioritization and assigned
  5. The project contact works with you to complete the request and meet your business needs
