Preparation to Teach for Residents in Programs Outside UW

The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) requires that all residents, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and other non-faculty instructors are prepared for their roles in teaching and assessment.

This web page addresses the training need for individuals who teach UW medical students but are not themselves part of a UW training program. (Note: UW residents should refer to the UW Medicine Learning Hub to complete these modules.)

Please take the following steps to fulfill the requirement:

  1. Review the policies, learning objectives, and required clinical encounters of the clerkship(s) in which you will teach. UWSOM Clerkship Policies Objectives Clinical Encounters 2020-21
  2. Complete the appropriate learning modules below.
  3. Take the quiz to attest to your completion. Credit for completion of the training is based on the quiz completion alone.
