Hey Huskies!

It’s day two of our long weekend and with mainly dry conditions paired with highs around 70 degrees, it is shaping up to be a pretty nice day to get outside and relax.

We currently have a few pockets of light rain trying to make their way into the central sound, but most of the precipitation in Seattle should hold off until tonight. Our next storm system is approaching the coast today and will be bring some steady rainfall into the area during the early hours on Monday.

The start of Memorial Day will be a soggy one across Western Washington with more rainfall the further north you go. Right now, our RPM model is project about half an inch of rain Seattle and Everett tomorrow. While half an inch of rainfall may not seem like that much precipitation for northwest standards, we could potentially break our daily rainfall record for tomorrow in Seattle of 0.41″, set in 2011.

Expect those showers to decrease during the evening hours on Monday, which will set us up for a beautiful week of warm weather in Seattle.

Have a happy Memorial Day weekend!
