Happy Turkey Week, Huskies! We hope you have your power back – as of this writing, Washington is down to 10,765 customers without power. We’re glad the bomb cyclone did not choose this week to strike! Many an unhappy western Washingtonian would have seen their birds spoil in the freezer. What do we have in store instead? Mostly dry weather! Chances of rain are minimal until late next weekend or early next week.
For those of you who have been opposed to the early sunsets, you will have to wait until mid-January before the days gradually get longer. Luckily if you have been fed up with the wet weather, we look to get a solid break in the action just in time for Thanksgiving.
\
As we look ahead, the system over us now will have moved to our east, and a ridge will be building overhead, keeping us mostly dry for Thanksgiving and into the weekend ahead. Right now, it looks like the next chance of seeing any showers after our current system passes could be well into next week.
As the ridge moves in we will see conditions dry up as the week progresses, culminating in a dry Thanksgiving! We’ll see fairly consistent cool temperatures throughout the week, thanks to cloud cover insulating the region. You might even see some sun on Thanksgiving, perfect for taking that after-dinner walk!
Enjoy the short week and fill up on your favorite foods, Huskies! Have a honking good Thanksgiving! πͺΏ
