GH Labs is a nonprofit organization started in 2020 between Gates Ventures and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. They are comprised of an interdisciplinary team developing technologies to overcome barriers in health care access in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). In the short span since their inception, GH Labs has already developed a COVID-19 antigen test for low-resource settings and a vaccine cold chain container. Their main research focus areas are diagnostics; maternal, newborn, and child health technologies; and primary healthcare center equipment in LMICs.
