The Indian Health Pathway (IHP) provides a unique educational experience for the medical student through the use of specialized lecture series, small group discussions, immersion clinical experiences in medical practices that serve the American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) communities, and research opportunities. This program is also unique in that it utilizes a number of AI/AN faculty to teach these components who have had a vast amount of collective experience in working directly with Native populations.
