PD & PA Seminars
GME Brown Bags are open to program directors, program administrators, program faculty and staff.
Typically sessions are held the third Thursday of the month from 12-1pm at UW HSB and online at Zoom.
New Program Director and Program Administrator Orientations
GME 101 and 102 comprise our orientation series for new program directors, associate program directors, and program administrators who have been in their roles for less than 3 years. These events focus on practical topics designed to improve and develop the knowledge base required for oversight of new or established UW GME training programs.
Attendance at this course is specified as a requirement of appointment.
Typically, GME 101 is held in July and GME 102 is held in January.
Program Administrator Meetings
The GME Office hosts bimonthly meetings for program administrators from ACGME and non-ACGME programs. Topics include GME updates, accreditation, appointments and credentialing, professional development, and best practice sharing.
Meetings are in person and are held at UW Health Sciences and UW Medicine SLU campus.
Program Director Development Series
PDDS is our core curriculum for program directors and faculty in support of continuous learning, development and educational innovation within UW GME. The curriculum is designed to meet ACGME annual faculty development and Common Program Requirements (CPRs).
Program directors, associate program directors, key faculty and program administrators (as space allows) are invited to join us at PDDS events.* The objectives of the program are to:
- Provide opportunities for program leaders to learn from colleagues and experts about best practices in GME
- Support excellence throughout UW GME
- Create a strong UW GME community
* Each curriculum will be run twice in the Fall and twice in the Spring. All ACGME training programs are required to send a core faculty representative (ideally the program director or associate program director).
