About Me
So excited to get to know some, hopefully many of you! I think most of my friends might describe me, if this combination were to exist, as a mellow golden retriever. Just excited to be involved and happy with the simple things of life. I value my family very much; my older sister is my best friend and role model and have a deep respect for my parents who provided the life that I have and immigrated through post graduate education. Everyone in my family was surprised when I told them I wanted to go into medicine, and then I surprised myself when I realized I wanted to go into pediatrics.
Winter or Summer in Seattle?
100% summer in Seattle (yes yes I love ski season and actually really do appreciate rainy days but this is an easy question, no argument)
Why UW Pediatrics/Seattle Children’s?
There are so many reasons, but a major factor that drew me in was the experience of our primary training site being both a robust community hospital and a major referral center for 5-state (WWAMI) catchment area.
Why Seattle?
I love that it is surrounded by water and mountains! I love the variety of food options here and all of the boba and coffee places to try!
Any specific interests? Residency or non-residency?
I love to hike and run and climb. If I’m not in the hospital, catch me outside. My background is in biomedical engineering and I am a huge nerd for heart physiology – I would like to pursue a career in cardiology, possibly electrophysiology.
What questions would you love to answer for potential applicants?
Favorite hikes/backpacking routes, the fun (and struggle) of bike commuting as a mediocre biker, life with furry friends (our cat Remy has changed his personality with every move that I’ve made), finding community in a new city
