Who are your people?
My tribe are those who bring their authentic selves every day. I also appreciate a sense of humor, a love of
music, the appreciation of sports and the art of competition.
What are you most proud of?
I am incredibly proud of the life my wife and I have built together. She is an incredible individual with amazing
emotional intelligence who brings such strength to our relationship every day. I am so very proud of her!
Why UW Pediatrics/Seattle Children’s?
The Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at UW/SCH is amongst the top in the country and having the
opportunity to lead them is the best job in the world. Working at an institution focused on its DEI work with a
Department Chair who has made it a priority has been a breath of fresh air. After spending the past 15 years in
the Midwest, having year-round access to mountains and water is unparalleled. And the air never has to freeze
my nose-hairs again.
ON MY DAYS OFF, I LIKE TO
Drink coffee on the patio, workout at a more sleep-friendly hour, and binge watch ID TV.
