What drew you to the Alaska Track?
I immediately knew this track felt right for me! I was excited by the adventure and challenge of getting to be part of new communities and stretching my comfort zone in the process. I have always been interested in primary care and thought that this program had a great balance of both building independence and clinical experience through immersive primary care practice and seeing the breadth of subspecialty care at Seattle Children’s for the rest of the year.
What would be your perfect day off?
It would start off with taking a morning stroll or bike ride to my favorite neighborhood bakery for coffee, sourdough, and a pastry, then picking up fresh produce from the farmer’s market to make lunch. Followed by an afternoon session at the climbing gym and going out to dinner with friends after. And finally unwinding with a book at the end of the evening. Or an equally perfect option would involve a nice long summer hike with a scenic lunch spot and a bonus lake dip.
What was your childhood dream job?
Marine biologist! I loved reading books about whales, dolphins, and sharks as a kid.
