Interview Day

Below is a general outline of the schedule for our interview day. Applicants will receive a personalized schedule via email before their interview day.

The interview day will start at 7:30 AM (PST) for all applicants.  There will be two hours of presentations including a welcome from our Executive Residents, a Resident Q&A, and a Live-Stream Hospital Tour to learn more about our program. Applicants will be scheduled for interviews either in the morning (Group 1) or afternoon (Group 2). Each interview block consists of three 25-minute interviews (one resident and two faculty), with 10-minute breaks in between (neurology applicants will have two interviews – one resident and one faculty). Additionally, each categorical, HET, and Alaska track applicants will be given a 10-minute block to speak one-on-one with our program director, Dr. Alissa Darden. Neurology and Genetics applicants will me Dr. Darden as a group with other program leadership.

Information sessions and interviews will be conducted on Zoom. Applicants will receive a link to the Zoom conference prior to their interview day. Attire is business casual – the kind of attire you would wear to see patients in clinic (excluding scrubs). Examples of business casual attire include: blouse, sweater, button-up shirt; and skirt, dress slacks, chinos, etc. Applicants are welcome to use a virtual background but it is not required. The AAMC has some tips for virtual interviewing here. For questions prior to the interview day, please fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page.

Although you can not walk through the hospital with us in person, check out this video created by two of our current residents! We will also be providing a live stream hospital tour on your interview day.
