What are your interests in medicine?

I tend to enjoy everything I try! But I am specifically interested in primary care and the impacts of climate change/planetary health on pediatric health.

What drew you to the Alaska Track?

I chose the Alaska Track because of the opportunity to train in a large academic center as well as a uniquely rural and diverse setting with limited access to subspecialty care. I was also excited about the close community that residents and faculty in the Alaska Track seemed to enjoy, and of course the chance to live in Alaska.

What would be your perfect day off?

The day would start with sleeping in, followed by a big breakfast – probably French toast or pancakes with fresh fruit. After, I would go do some activity outdoors with friends – hiking, skiing, biking, kayaking. This would be followed by ice cream, and a potluck/family style dinner with more friends. Then somehow, I would be in bed reading by 9 pm.

What was your childhood dream job?

Entomologist in the Amazon Rainforest.
