25Live Simple Meeting Launch starts Monday, September 17

A message was just sent out via the Chancellor’s Line last week about the first phase of implementation of 25Live.

What is 25Live you ask?

25Live is an upgrade to our room scheduling software and is the primary tool for academic scheduling at all three University of Washington campuses. At UW Tacoma, we will also use this system to support non-course and events scheduling. The 25Live Project Implementation Team will continue to rollout features of the system, incorporating other campus spaces and event scheduling throughout this upcoming year.

What should I expect next Monday, September 17?

  • Faculty, staff, and students will be able to view availability for campus reservable spaces.
  • Faculty and staff will have the ability to self-schedule simple meetings in 25Live after completion of the required online training.
  • Online training will be available on the day of the launch and should take 20-30 minutes to complete.
  • Campus conference rooms will be self-reservable for simple meetings in CAR 401, UWY 103, 105 and 307 are now included in this group, and the UWY conference rooms will no longer have costs associated for use by campus departments.
  • UUF-trained faculty and staff will continue to use the current UUF system for scheduling events and to edit previously confirmed room reservations.
  • Atriums, lobbies, outdoor spaces and the Dawn Lucien Boardroom will move away from the Standard UUF Form and into the Campus Event Spaces Form (formerly known as WPH/PLT UUF Form) because they can have multiple setups and often involve support departments.
  • Academic scheduling for Winter quarter 2019 will be completed in 25Live. Administrators and schedulers in academic programs will now see space availability prior to submitting course changes related to days, times, and locations.
