Our students inspire us daily, and keep the operations of the UW Tacoma Library running smoothly.  Please meet Sarina, who is awesome!

  • What did you major in/are you majoring in at UWT?  I am majoring in Arts, Media and Culture with a focus on film. This is actually my last quarter!
  • What drew you to working in libraries?  What drew me to working in the library is my love of books. I’ve always loved reading. Not only that, but the library is such a welcoming environment with a comfortable and supportive atmosphere.
  • What parts of your job are you most excited about?   The part of my job I’m most excited about is being able to interact with a diverse group of individuals who come in and out of the library, as well as everyone who works at the library.
  • Have you read anything good lately?   I actually haven’t been able to read anything lately because I’m busy with classes, but I have a long list of books I’m excited to read once I’m done with school!
  • Any advice for UWT students?  If I could give any advice, it would be to create a study plan and try to stick to it. College can be very overwhelming and stressful, and having a study plan can help reduce that stress.
