Kazuma Fukuda

Kazuma is a first-year undergraduate student at the University of Washington, intending to Biology major. His academic interest is in developmental biology, particularly how multicellular structure emerges from intercellular communication with mechanical and chemical signals. In the Vásquez lab, he focuses on studying how endoreplications in each cell can play a role in the Malpighian tubule’s morphogenesis.

Outside of the lab, he enjoys watching soccer games of the UW Men’s soccer and his hometown team (Sagan Tosu). He is also a big fan of coffee.
