Vesta is interested in quantifying variation in Malpighian tubule shape, and developing a protocol to dissect and culture Malpighian tubules. Prior to working in the Vásquez lab, Vesta received her B.S. in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology from the University of Washington.

Vesta spends her time outside of the lab entertaining her dog, Peanut, and biking.
