Wenhui Xie is from Hengyang, Hunan, China and completed her undergraduate studies at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen in 2023. During her undergraduate studies, she joined the MFOIL laboratory and focused on the study of photoacoustic imaging technology and its applications, which sparked her interest in optical imaging. In order to further explore the principles and applications of imaging technology, she applied to join the doctoral program in bioengineering at the University of Washington. Out of school, she is also interested in crocheting, oil painting, watching suspenseful movies, gaming, talking with friends, and recently started learning to ski.
