Monkeypox (MPOX) Vaccination & Immune Response

The University of Washington is seeking volunteers for a monkeypox (MPOX) study. The purpose of this study is to learn more about the body’s immune response to MPOX vaccination. This will be done by looking at specific immune cells in the blood after a person is vaccinated against MPOX.

Participants will undergo a Screening Visit to see whether they are eligible. The study may last for up to 3 months and involve 5-6 study visits. All visits will include blood draws and questions about your medical history.

To be eligible for the study you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have received the MPOX vaccine recently or plan to receive the MPOX

Conditions which would prevent you from participating in this study:

  • Active Hepatitis B infection
  • Untreated Hepatitis C infection
  • Difficulty with blood draws

Compensation:
Participants will be compensated up to $175 for the entire study.
