Community Organizers of Genome Sciences

COGS is an organization of members of the University of Washington Department of Genome Sciences to foster engagement, enable change, and support the diverse members of our community. COGS was formed from prior organizations in GS: Women in Genome Sciences (WiGS) and Genome Sciences Association for the Inclusion of Minority Students (GSAIMS).

COGS is currently working to meet our goals through five subgroups. Visit our contact page to get in touch with the leaders of each initiative.

  1. Mentorship and outreach
  2. Professional development
  3. Genome Hackers
  4. Community of international and non-native English speakers
  5. Social engagement

This page is under construction during this transition period until we can transition to a new COGS website with more information on each subgroup. Prior resources from WiGS can be found in the WiGS Archive menu.
