Christine Botosan 

Board Member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board

Christine Ann Botosan was appointed to the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) on July 1, 2016, later reappointed to a second term that extends to June 30, 2026. Prior to joining the FASB, Ms. Botosan was a professor of accounting at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. An award-winning professor and researcher, Ms. Botosan has a broad knowledge of accounting issues, with particular expertise in the areas of financial statement analysis and valuation. Ms. Botosan served in a variety of roles during her tenure at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah including as a leadership fellow in the office of the vice president, as the George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Presidential Chair in Ethical Financial Reporting and as the associate dean of graduate affairs.

Paul Munter,  PhD, CPA

Paul Munter was the SEC’s Chief Accountant from January 2021 – January 2025. He also served the SEC in the roles of Deputy Chief Accountant and Academic Fellow. Prior to rejoining the SEC, he was a Senior Partner with KPMG including serving as a member of KPMG’s global board responsible for setting international accounting and auditing guidance for the network. He has served on the accounting faculty at the University of Colorado, Boulder, University of Miami and Texas Tech University.

He earned his PhD from the University of Colorado and his BS and MS degrees from Fresno State University. He is a CPA in Colorado, New York, and Florida.

     

Ray Beeman

Washington Council, EY

Ray Beeman leads EY’s Washington Council EY practice, which provides clients with strategic advice and representation on issues and developments involving tax, health and budget policy.

Prior to joining EY, Ray was Tax Counsel and Special Advisor for Tax Reform with the US House Committee on Ways and Means, where he helped guide the development of the Tax Reform Act of 2014, a comprehensive tax reform plan proposed by Chairman Dave Camp (R-MI). Ray also has served Congress as Legislation Counsel for the Joint Committee on Taxation, where he was involved in several tax legislative proposals that were passed by Congress and signed into law by the President, including the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004. In addition, Ray played a significant role at JCT in the ratification of income tax treaties by the US Senate and the development of tax policy reports to Congress relating to tax simplification and the investigation of the Enron Corporation. Ray has taught the taxation of debt instruments as an adjunct member of the faculty at the Georgetown University Law Center.

     Fari Beyzavi

VP Global Tax, Absolute Security

Fari Beyzavi is the VP of Global Tax at Absolute Security, overseeing the company’s worldwide tax function including tax compliance, reporting, and planning. Fari is a UW alumni, earning her JD/LLM in Taxation from UW Law and her accounting degree from the Foster School of Business.

Scott Farrington is currently the chief accounting officer at Stripe, Inc. Scott’s expertise in accounting and finance operations plays a pivotal role in steering the company’s fiscal health and strategic financial planning. Scott is currently entrusted with the comprehensive oversight of Stripe’s accounting, finance operations, internal audit,  Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, and product readiness, ensuring the company’s financial practices are both robust and cutting-edge.

Casey Kacirek

 Managing Director-Deloitte

Trustworthy AI Leader

Casey is a Managing Director in Deloitte’s Accounting and Internal Controls practice where she is responsible for the firm’s strategy to address emerging risks related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) enablement. Casey has over twenty years of experience leading client service teams to deliver internal control evaluations for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, SOX readiness and program development, and internal audit services across technology, retail, and healthcare industries. Outside of work Casey enjoys singing and playing the guitar and years ago she published an original song “Dodger Blue”.

Genevieve Klobuchar

Senior Director Cloud & AI Finance Microsoft

Genevieve Klobuchar is a seasoned finance executive with extensive experience in the technology and entertainment sectors. As of 2025, she serves as the Senior Director of Finance at Microsoft, where she has worked for 8 years. In this capacity, she has contributed to various strategic financial initiatives within the company including MSFT’s ramp in the AI space with the OpenAI partnership.

Prior to her tenure at Microsoft, Genevieve held significant positions at Big Fish Games, 20th Century Studios, and Washington Mutual, where she honed her expertise in financial management and strategic planning.

Genevieve earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University. She resides in Gig Harbor, Washington, and is recognized for her leadership in fostering diversity and inclusion within the tech industry.

Alex Gee
Head of Financial Integrity, OpenAI

Alex Gee leads Financial Integrity at OpenAI, where he oversees financial reporting, maintains strong internal controls, and manages the accounting behind OpenAI’s most complex transactions. Since joining in March 2023, he has scaled the finance team to support the company’s rapid growth and partners closely with cross-functional leaders to embed accounting insights into strategic decisions. Alex also drives the integration of AI into finance to enhance reporting speed, accuracy, and insight. Prior to OpenAI, he spent 13 years at PwC, where he worked across Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory, the National Office, and Digital Transformation. He is a CFA charterholder, a licensed CPA, and holds an MPAcc and BA in Business from the University of Washington.
