Harborview (HMC) Amputee Support Group Since 1979, our weekly Harborview Amputee Support Group continues to meet, now on Zoom. This group is open to all the limb loss and difference community, including friends, family, and caregivers.

Amputee Coalition Certified Peer support group program The AC has a structured education program to promote quality peer support.

An experienced, well-trained peer can offer encouragement and information from a place, and at a pace, that an individual in this circumstance can better absorb.

 
AC BIPOC Specific Support Group Amputee Coalition monthly BIPOC support group for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) people who have or will experience limb loss. This is a safe space to receive and offer support, speak your experience, and a place where we build community through shared experiences. A place for conversation about common experiences and challenges that arise for BIPOC people.
 
AC Young Adult Support Group (18-30) Are you a young adult between the ages of 18 and 30 who has experienced limb loss or limb difference?

This support group provides the following opportunities:

  • Connect with other young adults who understand your experiences
  • Share your challenges and successes in a safe and supportive space
  • Access important resources to support your journey
 
Amputee Coalition National Conference The National Conference is the Amputee Coalition’s largest activity designed to reach the community en masse based on our founding principles, including the importance of peer support and elevating expertise gained only through lived experience. Conference allows for education and engagement across all program areas (education, support, and advocacy).
 
Balanced Amputee

Balanced Amputee Wellness and Educational Communities are free communities aimed to promote wellness, education and empowerment for all individuals and families in the limb loss and limb difference community.

Founder Leslie Green is a bilateral below the knee amputee who has many years of experience working alongside patients with limb loss and limb difference. As Patient Advocate Director of Education, Leslie meets with prosthetic patients to offer education and supports patients from amputation to ambulation. She ensures patients and family members are provided with education, appropriate community resources, and emotional support.

 

 

Power on with Limb Loss

Power On’s mission is “Working together to gain independence and happiness!”

They partner with and support amputees and others with limb loss in the community by providing three main service programs:

  • Peer support
  • Outdoor events and challenges
  • Monthly support meetings

The Discover Conference is the only amputee run conference in Oregon and a great opportunity to forge connections with fellow amputees and regional industry specialist. It is a free gathering for Amputees, Individuals with Limb Difference or Physical Challenges, Care Givers, & Medical Professionals.

 
West Coast EmpowerFest  This unique three-day event is designed for individuals with upper and/or lower limb loss and limb difference, offering an opportunity to connect, learn, and grow.
