Selection Criteria for Faculty Mentors
The selection criteria for BCTP faculty mentors include: the quality of the research program, the programmatic focus and collaborations with other investigators/laboratories to provide a strong area emphasis, suitability as a scientist role model, and demonstrated ability to train students to become independent scientists.
Applying as a Mentor
Faculty interested in applying to join the BCTP faculty should send their CV/Biosketch, a training record**, and short description of their research interests to Dr. Regnier (mregnier@uw.edu) and Katie Dickinson (katiejd8@uw.edu).
Note: BCTP funding does not fully cover trainee costs. It is the responsibility of the trainee’s mentor to cover costs that exceed the NIH award.
