Lester Building Systems is one of the nation’s leading manufacturers and builders of pre-engineered post-frame wood structures. Most Lester Buildings are sold using Improv, Lester’s custom-built Building Design, Configuration and Sales software. Improv is used to collect a customer’s building requirements, do complete structural design and detailing, compile parts into a bill of material, calculate building pricing information, and produce drawings for sales, permitting and construction. Improv is built and maintained solely by Lester personnel and is a critical component in all aspects of Lester operations from sales to construction. 

Lester has been advertising for several months for an Engineering Programmer to assist with the ongoing development and maintenance of Improv and several other internal programs for engineering and manufacturing. The ideal candidate would have a BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering with 1-3 years of work experience including design of wood structures. 

The ideal candidate would also have 1-3 years experience in programming VB.Net or C#, including object-oriented design, graphics and database (SQL Server) programming.
