The Engineered Services Group (ESG) is a division of Guardian Fall Protection that specializes in the design, engineering, custom fabrication & installation of permanent fall protection & suspension systems. These systems include rooftop horizontal lifelines, overhead rigid rail and building facade access. With an established network of distributors and installers, ESG performs work nationwide and frequently consults with clients by performing hazard assessments and fall protection training classes. As a division of Guardian Fall Protection, ESG also works to design, prototype, test & fabricate innovative products for the fall protection safety market.

Schedule: Typical hours: Monday – Friday / varied hours between 8:00am – 4:30pm

Main Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):
Review drawings & specifications to perform formal quotations for clients
Interact with clients on a daily basis
Provide engineering and technical support on a variety of fall protection safety systems
Develop designs for fall protection safety systems including layouts, details, design calculations and quantity estimates
Assist with the preparation of technical reports, drawings and project deliverables
Organize scheduling of project engineering timelines with internal engineering and management staff/outside engineering firms
Duties may also include field activities such as site investigations and onsite installation supervision

Minimum Requirements:
Must be punctual
Valid driver’s license
Reliable Transportation
Clean driving record (MVR)
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent (Civil or Mechanical)
Steel Toed Shoes/Boots Required
Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks, and be open to constant change
An open mind to design options and a keen eye for detail
Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts both visually & contextually
Experience with AutoCAD. SolidWorks experience a plus
Experience in construction and/or manufacturing industry a plus
Advanced computer skills – Microsoft Office (word, excel, etc.)
Project and people management skills
Willing to travel up to 10% of time within the US
Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through both verbal and written communication lines
Excellent organizational skills
Physical Requirements:
This position requires sitting for extended amounts of time. Some lifting, bending, reaching and squatting throughout the shift while filing, sorting and moving product. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted in addition to being able to climb ladders and work at heights.
