Dr. Alexis Ball is a primary care pediatrician at Odessa Brown. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Colorado and has a masters in public policy. Her research interests include the impact of addiction on children and youth with a focus on BIPOC communities with the goal of addressing disparities and bringing community driven solutions upstream to policy.

Dr. Claudia Douglas is a primary care pediatrician at Odessa Brown. She completed her Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency at the University of Colorado. Her research interest include identifying and addressing inequities for Black adolescents and young adults, particularly in regards to reproductive health and gender affirming care. She is pursuing a MS in Health Sciences from the University of Washington School of Public Health.

Dr. Kristine Karvonen completed her pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Hospital. She concurrently completed her MS in Epidemiology with a focus in clinical and translational research methods at the University of Washington School of Public Health. Her research focuses on identifying and eliminating racial and ethnic health care disparities experienced by pediatric/AYA cancer patients through clinical research.

Dr. Seja Abudiab completed her pediatric residency training at UW/Seattle Children’s Hospital and is a primary care pediatrician at Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic. As part of her Child Health Equity Fellowship she conducted research on the public health response during the COVID-19 pandemic on refugee, immigrant and migrant communities as well as evaluating elevated blood lead levels in immigrant communities. She concurrently pursued an MS in Health Services from the UW School of Public Health.

Dr. Jennifer Bracamontes proposes to conduct research on racial/ethnic inequities in technology use, particularly glucose monitoring and related outcomes among youth with diabetes. She is concurrently pursuing a MS in Health Services from the UW School of Public Health.

Dr. Reya Mokiao completed her pediatric nephrology fellowship at Seattle Children’s Hospital pursuing food insecurity and renal outcomes research. She is also interested in the effects of diet on renal health in indigenous populations. She concurrently pursued a MS in the Epidemiology Clinical and Translational Research Methods track at UW School of Public Health.
