Contemporary Literary Criticism: content added

For some time, we have had electronic access to the backfiles of Contemporary Literary Criticism.  We have recently begun receiving current content online and filled in the gap as well.

Contemporary Literary Criticism online provides full-text or excerpted
criticism reproduced from books, magazines, literary reviews, newspapers and
scholarly journals for more than 3,000 authors (currently living or who died
since 1959).  Approximately 95% of critical essays from the print
Contemporary Literary Criticism series are reproduced in full in this online
version, which combines multiple search and browse options with the same
format of the print originals.

CLC is part of the larger Gale resource Literature Criticism Online

Multi-user access for ebrary SUPO titles

ebrary now offers an “Extended Access” option for its single user (SUPO) titles.  When a title is in use and a second user tries to access it, instead of being turned away the user will be given 24-hour access via a short-term loan (STL).  If this situation happens 3 times, an additional SUPO copy will be purchased automatically.  For now, “Extended Access” is being financed by a central fund in the Seattle Main budget.

Platform Migration: Oxford Reference online and Oxford Digital reference shelf

OUP is in the process of implementing a platform migration for these two resources, with the result they will all be part of Oxford reference online.

At this time, some of the urls are not working and are producing “Page not found” errors on the new platform.  We still have access to the content.  Click on the link at the top of the page for “Send me to the old Oxford Reference Online site”.

Records will be changed in the next few days.  Meanwhile, if you have questions or problems, please post them to Ask Us.

SPIE Digital Library platform migration

The SPIE digital library has migrated its platform this summer.  Record changes are in process, but old url’s will redirect to the new ones on a permanent basis.

SPIE’s current platform provider, the American Institute of Physics (AIP), is discontinuing online hosting services and is shutting down Scitation. SPIE has chosen Silverchair Information Systems because of its strong semantic capabilities and forward-looking technology roadmap, including support for mobile access, personalization, multimedia integration, and more.

Please submit questions to AskUs! if you encounter access or platform issues.
