The Task Force for Care of Patients Experiencing Incarceration was formed in September 2020 by a group of trainee physicians (residents and fellows) in a collaborative effort, supported by the UW Housestaff Quality and Safety Committee (HQSC), the UW Network for Underrepresented Residents and Fellows (NURF), and the Resident and Fellow Physician’s Union – Northwest (RFPU).
The goal of this group is to optimize care for patients experiencing incarceration through a combination of research, education, community engagement, and policy evaluation.
