Ying Xia Receives Two Clean Energy Institute Student Travel Grants

Graduate student Ying Xia in the De Yoreo Group (joint advisory with Professor Jun Liu) recently received two Student Travel Grants from the Clean Energy Institute at UW. This recognition supported her travel to the 2022 Materials Research Society Spring Meeting in Hawaii, in which she discussed how engineered proteins assemble on mineral surfaces and reorganize into different lattice structures. She will also use this fund to support her upcoming travel to the 27^th AACGE Western Section Conference on Crystal Growth & Epitaxy, which will occur from June 12 to 15 in Fallen Leaf Lake, California.
