Ying Xia Receives Best Poster Award at the 27th AACGE Western Section Conference on Crystal Growth & Epitaxy

Congratulations to Ying Xia, a graduate student jointly advised by Jim and Professor Jun Liu, for receiving a Best Poster Award from the 27th AACGE Western Section Conference on Crystal Growth & Epitaxy. Ying’s poster titled “Controlled 2D peptides assembly on twisted van der Waals substrates” was one of only two posters to receive this honor. The conference was held in Fallen Leaf Lake, CA during June 12-15 and covered a highly interdisciplinary selection of research from fundamental sciences to technologies relevant to crystal growth and epitaxy. Ying received a Clean Energy Institute Student Travel Grant for supporting this conference attendance.
