Jingshan Du Receives a Distinguished Student Award from the American Physical Society
Dr. Jingshan Du, a Washington Research Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow in the De Yoreo group, receives a Distinguished Student Award from the American Physical Society (APS) at the APS March Meeting 2023 in Las Vegas, NV. The Distinguished Student program was established by APS and its Forum of International Physics in 2015 to award outstanding non-US young researchers to participate in the annual APS Meetings. This year, the program is co-sponsored by the Forum for Early Career Scientists to expand its scope to postdoctoral researchers.
Jingshan was also selected as a recipient of the New Investigator Travel Award by the APS Division of Chemical Physics based on his Focus Session presentation titled “Revealing the Flexibility of Hydrogen Bond Networks in Hexagonal Ice by Frozen Liquid-Cell Electron Microscopy.” Besides presentations, he chaired a session “Surfaces, Interfaces & Materials” at this meeting.
