Congratulations, Dr. Lauren Palys!

Lauren Palys, a graduate student at Oregon State University jointly advised by Jim and Professor May Nyman (USO), has successfully defended her thesis titled “Unravelling Reaction Pathways of Group IV Metals” on July 28, 2023. In the past few years, Lauren spent considerable time in the De Yoreo group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and used synthetic chemistry tools and electron microscopy to study the formation pathways of several minerals of importance in environment and the catalytic industry. Congratulations, Dr. Palys!
