Husky Seed Fund

The Husky Seed Fund is an award that brings to life innovative ideas by students that are inclusive, impactful, and inventive to the UW. The fund launched as a pilot program for students on the Seattle campus in 2016 and is now expanded to also include the Tacoma and Bothell campuses. The fund is managed by students on the Husky Experience Student Advisory Council with funds from the Office of the Provost. Created by students for students, the goal is to bring to life innovative ideas by awarding funds for projects that will enhance students’ extracurricular experience.

Yogasai would like to thank Katy DeRosier, Director of Program Development at the Office of the Provost and Graduate School, for her invaluable guidance and support, as well as the Husky Experience Student Advisory Council, especially Gurkuran Waraich, Niharika Arora, and Josh Huffman.

Mary Gates Endowment For Students

The Mary Gates Endowment for Students supports University of Washington undergraduates to become independent learners and community leaders. The Endowment supports students in allowing them to pursue independent innovative projects. Yogasai would like to thank the Mary Gates Endowment for supporting her in the development of this project through a Mary Gates Leadership Scholarship.

Professor Walter G. Andrews

Thank you to Professor Walter G. Andrews, whose mentorship and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary work inspired Yogasai to start this project in the first place. Professor Andrews read over many drafts of the project, provided advice, and supported Yogasai every step of the way. His encouragement was truly instrumental in making this project a reality.  We are saddened that he was not able to see the end result, but we hope that this project is one way in which we can honor his memory and legacy.

Thank you to the following students and staff for their help:
