Ordering from Drug Services

New Customers

To begin ordering from Drug Services, you must have the appropriate licenses. To get a license, please visit Washington’s Department of Health website or our information page about ordering controlled substances to learn more. Drug Service must have a copy of the actual license on file prior to dispensing any drug material.

Ordering Controlled Substance

All orders for controlled substances must be made by filling out our paper form. Please visit our controlled substance page for specific information and to download the form.

Find the corresponding order form along the top menu to place a new order.

Picking up an Order

You will be notified via email when your order is ready for pickup. Pick-up is available Monday thru Friday 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Drug services is closed on all federally and state-recognized holidays.

Order Cancellation

If there is an error with an order placed. Please notify us by emailing drugsvcs@uw.edu as soon as possible with your order#. All orders not picked up after 14 days will be canceled.

Delivery

Delivery is an option for off-campus customers Monday thru Friday. Deliveries are made through Materials Management’s delivery system (only available to HMC and Mercer locations) or a contract carrier. Please allow 48 hrs for deliveries through materials management (a $5 delivery charge may apply). Deliveries through a contract carrier should be placed 24 hours prior, and are usually processed with a $20 delivery fee. Refrigerated or frozen items must be shipped through a contract carrier.

Disposing of Drugs & Chemicals

For expired or waste (undesired) drugs and chemicals, please contact UW’s Environmental Health Services for a pickup.
