Dr. Andy Dang
Andy Dang achieved his BS degree in 2014 from San Jose State University and joined Tureček group in July of the same year. During the 5 years researching here, Andy led team in implementation of a new modified mass spectrometer interfaced to a tunable laser system, achieving improved automated analyses of gas-phase complexes with increased reproducibility. His research was focused on characterization of reactive biomolecules such as DNA and peptide cation-radicals by combining UV action spectroscopy, ion-molecule reactions, and computational modeling. He graduated in 2019 with 9 peer-reviewed publications, 11 conference presentations. He worked as an Analytical Chemist at Boeing after graduation and is currently a Research Scientist at Seattle Children’s.
