Our aim is to give students hands-on experience in the implementation of clean energy technologies; gain an understanding of the non-technical aspects that are required for projects like these; and to research, establish, and publish best practices for clean energy development projects with an emphasis on social equity and working co-collaboratively with local communities. We have been looking to expand this club to students who might be interested in working on the following projects that are starting to progress this summer.
To get involved check the calendar to attend an upcoming general body meeting, or get in contact with one of our officers.
Here’s a few of the projects we are recruiting students for: (No previous experience is necessary for any of these projects, just enthusiasm!)
- Technical Team: Development of a data acquisition system for monitoring solar modules and microgrids (John/Ted)
- Business and Marketing Team: Design of future collaborations in Ghana & Kenya, Fundraising and marketing campaigns to increase participation, and fund future travel and collaboration opportunities (Ian, Sarah, Griffin)
- Social Impacts Team: Surveying and assessing the social impacts of previous installations and preparing best practices documentations (Breena)
